Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not essential. However, if you would like to make use of our photoshoot services, or if your group is of more than 10 people, it would be much appreciated if you may please contact us before your visit.
Will I be given time to pick out my Hanbok?
Before your rental begins, you will be given around 30 minutes to pick out your Hanbok.
Where do I put my personal belongings?
You can keep them in the provided lockers.
Can I have more information regarding the sizes available?
We have a wide variety of sizes that will suit all body types. For ladies, the sizes available are from 44-99 (the largest size we have would be 150cm around the chest) and for men, the sizes available are from 90-120.
How much are your hairstyling services?
Our hairstyling services are for free and we have a variety of hairstyles for you to choose from.
However, hair accessories need to be rented separately.
How are traditional Hanboks different from themed Hanboks?
Still commonly worn in South Korea during traditional festivals, traditional Handbooks feature comparatively simple designs and give off an elegant feeling.
Themed Hanboks, which are made of materials with bright colors and patterns, are most popular with customers at Hanbok-Nam.
On top of that, you can also choose from a line of Hanboks that were traditionally worn in the ancient times by kings, Korean geishas, warriors, scholars and so on. These Hanboks can easily be seen in Korean historical drama series.
Would you be able to arrange photoshoots too?
Yes, we will be able to arrange photoshoots for you. Just let us know the time and date you will be visiting us and the branch you will be visiting, and we will make arrangements for you.
Do you also sell Hanboks?
Yes, we do! If you come across any items in our branches that you would like to purchase, just let our staff members know and they will provide more information regarding prices.
We also have new Hanboks for sale. Just make your order with us and we will have your order ready for pick up or send them to you via post services.

Hanbok is the Korean traditional dress that represent traditional culture.
Hanbok is the Korean traditional dress that contains the ideas, customs, actions, forms, and spirit passed down from ancestors. The tradition of hanbok, or Korean traditional dress, lasting 1,600 years is the longest in the world, and can be identified by the mural paintings of Goguryeo tombs (the 4th and 6th centuries) and the Silla and Baekje artifacts. Hanbok includes our unique outfit, skirt, jacket, pants, durumagi, Jokki and magoja.
Hanbok is characterized by several things.
Korean traditional dress is beautiful because the straight lines and curved lines are in harmony. and Use red, blue, yellow, black, or white to display various colors. It’s also comfortable enough, and anyone can dress up.
Hanboknam hopes people all over the world enjoy wearing Korean traditional dress and leave special memories in Korea. we aims to make wearing Korean traditional dress not just an experience but a first step to get to know Korea.
Hanbok is the Korean traditional clothing. Historically, Koreans wore their own clothing, while the ruling party and the nobility created fashion by introducing foreign cultural influences, and wore different clothing according to etiquette. Coloured cloth may have different appearance according to the double-stitched cap issued by the ruling party of each age, but most commoners also enjoyed wearing white skirts and hanbok, including the standard clothing.
Hanbok has several features that appear as traditional Korean clothes. They are basically very energetic and do not stick to clothes. The fabric itself also has aesthetic features that help curves rise when worn in a straight line but also because it has no pocket. Finally, Hanbok is divided into the jacket, the skirt, and the upper and the lower parts, which are different from those of neighboring countries.
Modern Korean clothes are very similar to the traditional Korean clothes worn during the Joseon Dynasty and are often worn during holidays and in formal occasions. Gaejeong Hanbok emphasizes convenience of life, and its appearance changed during the 20th century. Hanbok is not as fast as clothing, so it is not ready-to-wear as the suit is, but it is being tried today by several Hanbok designers, combining colors, materials, and features according to the times and popular demands.
